Get ready for an encounter with the four elemental spirits and the Fortune Goddess on the slot from Royal 7 Studios powered by Red Tiger Gaming. Wild Elements will see them unleash their powers in supersized 2×6 wild symbols and a free spins round with Possessive Wilds and the Sphere of Fortune that can lead to wins of up to 5,000 times your stake.
Wild Elements is a video slot with seven reels, six rows and 30 fixed pay lines. Wins are awarded for three to seven matching symbols on a line from left to right only. Your mystical encounter on desktop or mobile starts at just 0.10 credits and peaks at 100 credits per spin. The RTP of this high variance game is set at 96.17%.
A mystical sky in deep red colours with an illuminating hue coming from a setting sun is the background to a rather cramped looking game window. The reason for that might be the seven reels and large symbol which appear in 1×3 and 2×6 sizes only. An electronic soundtrack is trying to create a suspenseful atmosphere but fails to a large degree.
All regular pay symbols appear as 1×3 super crystal symbols. Each wild is matching in colour one low-value and one premium symbol, which will play a significant role in the free spins feature. At the low end are card royals – clubs, diamonds, hearts and spades engraved on crystals in the colours of the four elemental spirits and awarding 1.6x to 2x bet for a single seven of a kind. They are followed by more elaborate coloured crystal blocks representing the four elements – clear for air, blue for water, green for earth and red for fire. Hit seven on a line to win from 4x to 10x your stake.
The four elemental spirits – Air Nymph, Water Spirit, Earth Guardian, Fire Empress – are the first type of wild on this game, appearing majestically in a 2×6 mega size at all times, substituting for all regular symbols. The second wild can land during the Mystic Spins feature only and will turn matching royals into wild crystals. A single seven of a kind wild symbols will pay 20x your bet. An intricate icon marked with “Mystic Spins” acts as the scatter.
There are no base game features other than the occasional appearance of the supersized 2×6 wild symbols. The most you can win in one spin peaks at a mere 300x your bet. Hence, you will need to rely on the bonus feature to actually hit more sizable wins. Landing three to seven scatters anywhere on the reels in one spin will trigger the Mystic Spins with a random number of spins ranging from 8 to 30. The game will lead you to a second screen where you can pick one element wild – air, earth, water or fire – that will play a major role during the feature.
Only the selected element wild, the corresponding premium symbol and all card royals will be present on the reels in the free spins. Since the air royals are the lowest pay symbol, picking the air element will have the lower volatility while selecting fire will have the highest.
Every time the chosen element wild lands in full 2×6 size on the reels, it will turn into a Possessive Wild and transform all corresponding royals in view into wild symbols for the current free spin, providing more potential for big wins.
A Sphere of Fortune can also land on any free spin, unleashing the Fortune Goddess which will award either up to 10 extra free spins or a win multiplier of up to x3 for all wins from the remaining free spins. The maximum win in one spin tops at 1,800x your bet for a full screen of wilds with an x3 multiplier.
To be honest, I am not really impressed by this creation from Red Tiger Gaming, who graced us with some truly spectacular slots. Maybe it is down to the game being developed by one of its partner studios which is not always the best strategy as the mediocre slots from Microgaming’s partners have shown over the last few years. One can only hope, Red Tiger won’t outsource too much of its future portfolio.
